DJ Joseph
DJ is a 13 year old 3rd degree Black Belt from Coppell, TX. He started Tae Kwon Do when he was 5 to help him gain confidence and self discipline. After no changing on his first attempt on his Black Belt he almost hung up his belt but decided that he needed to persevere and achieve his goal of getting his black belt. He passed his black belt at the next testing and received his 3rd degree when he was 11.
DJ also has a passion for teaching and assisting in classes. He tested and achieved his first teaching collar in 2012.
He never competed until after he was a first degree black belt. He went to a class A tournament and watched Trace Megellas compete in XMA and was in awe. He had not met Trace at that time but left wanting to one day be as good as him. From that moment on he was on a mission to train harder and become better in all areas of martial arts, especially Bo.
He trains at Coppell ATA with Ms. Christy Jackson for traditional forms and weapons and with Trace Megellas for his extreme BO. 2014 was his first year competing in ATA and finished in the top 3 in State and Districts. This year his focus is on the open circuit and becoming stronger with tricks.
In addition to martial arts, DJ plays football and basketball for his school and enjoys fishing, gaming and going to open gym to learn new tricks. He is thrilled and honored to part of TForceElite and cannot wait to represent the team in competitions, seminars and demos.
